History
The Purcell Lake area offers visitors an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool, fishing, and picnicking opportunities.
Annual fishing tournaments are a part of the action at the Purcell City Lake. The scenic lake includes a paved drive around it, numerous picnic areas, and the capacity for recreational vehicles.
Located in the Heart of Oklahoma, Purcell's history dates back to 1887 when the town became an important commercial center with the arrival of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad.
