Kingston’s Fuller going to the Dance!

Jay Fuller of Kingston Oklahoma qualifies for the 2008 Bassmaster ClassicLake Texoma record holder and Kingston native Jay Fuller is headed to the Big Dance – the Bassmaster Classic!

As the current record holder for Texoma smallmouth bass, his goal has always been to make it to the Bassmaster Classic. As a member of Team Alberta, Jay racked up numerous regional championships and captured 3rd place in the 2007 Central Opens, qualifying him for the Classic. He finished in the money in all three professional BASS tournaments he entered including one Top 10 finish. In addition, he will be featured in an upcoming Outdoor Oklahoma TV show about fishing for Lake Texoma smallmouth bass.

“It’s very exciting for me, just a dream come true to be able to fish the Classic. I really have to pinch myself sometimes still because I am actually going. I’m going to try to stay calm about it and go out there and do my thing fishing. It probably won’t hit me until I’m out there and lined up with all the big names in bass fishing.”

“I think everyone told me that I ought to be grateful that I am there and that I’ve accomplished a lot by being there but that’s not good enough for me. A Top-10 finish would be successful, but I want to swing for the fences – I want to come home as the next Bassmaster Classic Champ.”

Jay has lined up a number of sponsors to help him swing for the fences including Berkley, Abu Garcia, Fenwick, Alberta Creek Resort & Marina and others. If you would like to help Jay swing for the fences, please contact us here at info@oklahomafishingguides.com.
